A Financial Literacy Training Held in Kedung Dalem Village
As a collaboration with Habitat Indonesia, MUFG Bank held a family financial literature training for the residents of Kedung Dalem Village on December 10th, 2022 and January 14th, 2023. The program’s purpose was to strengthen the people’s knowledge and financial capacity to help them achieving economic stability.
The staff from MUFG volunteered as the facilitators throughout the event. They are eager to teach and guide the participants so that the delivered educational material can be digested and practiced properly. The training was attended by 100 participants from the Kedung Dalem Village.
At the end of the event, MUFG Bank offered the opportunity to open a funded Danamon Bank Account to the participants. Each bank account was funded IDR 50,000 as a starting balance. MUFG Bank and Habitat Indonesia also cooperated with the local government to meet the Danamon Bank account opening target for 2-3 weeks. There were 100 people who registered a Danamon Bank Account.
Hopefully, the financial training can further deepen Kedung Dalem Village’s families’ insight on managing household finances so that they are able to achieve prosperity and financial stability in the future.
