Since Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1976, volunteers have played an important role in development and service. Habitat Indonesia also continues to develop programs related to the involvement of volunteers. All volunteer activities are recorded in the number of personnel as well as the number of hours worked dedicated to the habitat, and counted as volunteer hours.

1. 1. Speed up the course of the program process, where volunteers can work together with the assisted community Habitat Indonesia in development. 
   2. Raise the spirit of the community and encourage the development of the spirit of mutual cooperation, as well as an opportunity to campaign the Habitat program to promote the importance of livable homes for underprivileged communities. Habitat believes that change can begin with every individual participating in this program.
   3. Means to expand the network among elements of society, be it donors, Habitat assisted communities, other institutions or volunteers.
