The Background of Housing Forum
There is still a high demand for housing in Indonesia, especially among the low-income
society. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (2022), the
government’s biggest challenge is to resolve the housing backlog issue, which has reachedangka 12,71 million households and is predicted to continue increasing in the coming years.
Housing Forum
is a biennial seminar event organized by Habitat for Humanity,which
brings together various key stakeholders in the Indonesian housing sector. During the
forum, these important actors engage in discussions to find inclusive and effective
solutions to address national and regional housing issues. more than 9.200 people have participated in this seminar to share various insights on
housing topics since the launch of Housing Forum in Asia Pacific in 2007 until its 8th year
in 2021.
